I went to see the inside of the duplex tonight, it is very very very nice! Only question is if owners will accept the cats... I offered to pay an additional pet deposit if necessary. Huge yard, lots of parking, 2 bedrooms, upstairs/downstairs townhouse style, an older couple live in the duplex unit on one side. Full basement with laundry, dishwasher, lots of storage, nice bathroom, 8x8 deck in the back.
What sealed the deal - Tom would get his OWN VERY HUGE closet! I would get the secondary 3x3 closet Actually he did not even get to see the place, he's working again tonight.
I am so nervous - hoping for a phone call tonight or in the morning for them to say Yes

BTW, I gotta be smart aleck today. Tour guide at BMW factory asked us whether we knew what BMW stood for. Someone said something funny and someone else said Bavarian Motor Works. I gave her the German name and said that a long-time BMW CCA member told me that it now stands for Buy More Weight. I could immediately sense a threat to my life
