For me I prefer the FLOOR setting, after a while the cold just starts to be all encompasing
I find the the OPEN TOP, and the FLOOR & DASH settings just let too much cold air escape
I have all 3 of the dash vents angled towards me usually. I will try the Floor setting only some time... usually my feet end up getting too cold while the rest of me is still too warm though.

In the winter the dash vents get angled on my hands so I can drive as long as possible w/o wearing gloves Hard to believe it will ever be cold again on a day like today

Heat is supposed to break tonight and be only 80 tomorrow then cooler for a few days. I can't find an A/C less than $130 - going to hold off for now on a unit for my office. Best Buy had small units for $99 last year - hoping I can find that again soon

Other than the S that I have ridden with on track - windows open etc - I have one fond memory of a ride with a hard top. It was January and I was visiting the New England folks for a non S meet....

Kenta gave me a ride in his S with a hard top - it had been 3 months since my S went in the garage and I was missing it badly. This was the first time I had been in an S with hard top and windows up.

The car did indeed feel roomy and very quiet. No comparison to top down though - I always prefer convertible mode when possible I waited 40 years to own a convertible - I want to get my money's worth

I'm with you on the vert logic.
My motto should be "top almost always down, windows sometimes up..."

Saw a Lotus something parked at a local restaurant last night -- not an Elise unless they have a new more square model out -- I am not up on the models from them. Very rectangular - kind of like the older Lambos. And very very yellow

I almost always do windows up on the highway - I am kind of afraid of debris coming off other cars/trucks and hitting me in the face. I hope the window may offer a little protection... if it stays in tact the way it's supposed to when hit.
