Played some more with cars and trains on Sunday.
Painted the Volvo's transmission cover and cut a neoprene "gasket" that I want to use to cover up the remaining gap between it and the transmission in lieu of that oily rag shown in my prior post. Also did some work "reupholstering" the passenger seat. Just rebuilding the innards on that. Still a long way to go.
Also put the spare MGA engine block away for long term storage.
Worked on more of the old Lionel trains for H & C. These are mostly from the late 1950's and time has taken a toll on all of the wiring. Got the old locomotive running after rehabbing the main forward / reverse switch. Still having trouble with the transformer - although it mostly works, I fear it might be a fire hazard. About half of my old set is already up in Saratoga. Apparently the kids like the dopy Plasticville village more than the actual trains.
I still need to finish putting the S2000 away. Although it is in storage, I still need to enhance mouse protection, release the clips holding the soft top and hook up the battery tender.

Somewhere in Texas, @shiv is reading our travails about storage and smiling as he cracks open a beer and sits out on the porch, reminiscing about the cold & snow, distant memories by now and looks beyond to the parking space where he has a 370Z baking in the warm weather. Time for another celebratory donut he thinks and then takes another swing of the beer as he enjoys the warmth.

Found this pic on my phone yesterday. Asked Shiv and he said he’d taken this pic the very first time he and I went to Palmer. I think Mike was there that day too. Love how the cars look early in the AM.
