Thought this was a very cool look inside of Honda’s Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio where the NSX is built

I saw that this morning. It's a beautiful car, and it got a much needed super car color. I am still concerned about its future because I believe it is overpriced for what it is. I am positive that it would have sold very well if they had built a car between the $75-100k range. I don't know that the first NSX was really a "super car," but it was definitely a significant step up from any other Japanese sports coupe being made at the time.

The first NSX, was a legitimate supercar in my eyes. Bear in mind 250 HP was a lot then and they managed to build something that had the chops to take on the Italian exotics while displaying great road driving capability which was unique at the time.

And keep in mind the S2000 had an MSRP of close to $35,000 when brand new. Adjusted for inflation that’d be closer to $50K today if they built a modern roadster. 35k was a lot of money back then and could get you into an E36 M3.

Jeff - any plans of parking the MG at the auto museum for the VSCCA exhibit?

Even still, a 1991 NSX selling for around $60k in 91 would be around $112k today, and a later model 2005 with an msrp of $89k would only be around $117k. I believe it's a great car but they missed the mark on pricing. They should have made a $100k car. It would have sold much better, even though production numbers are somewhat similar to what the NSX did. When you are talking about a new car that has a starting MSRP of $159k, there is just too much out there to compete with. When you're in that range, your'r talking about Mclarens, Audi R8's, Mercedes AMG's just to name a few.
