Turned out to be a good day. I did have one last filter for the S2000. So I changed the oil, and took the car out for a leisurely spin getting it into VTEC a couple of times. I wish we had more days like this.

Homeowner chores and working on the Volvo yesterday.
Progress on the Volvo is painfully slow. I did finally lay the Hushmat on the newly painted floor. The carpet that came with the car and presumably supplied by one of the Volvo part suppliers is thin and cheap and wants to unravel where cut. Since I had to cut holes for the pedals, I tried to find some carpet grommets to protect the holes. Got 4 dimmer switch grommets for a '57 Chevy Bel Aire and am trying those. I hope to get the pedals installed today; but have concerns that the grommets are just not large enough as the brake and clutch pedals seem to have a little but of an up and down motion when pressed.
On the homeowner front, my house looks like hell. Mostly I'm fiberglass patching the hole plugs from when we had insulation blown in some years ago. But I'm also washing some of the dirtiest, moldiest areas of siding. When I was younger, I never remembered the houses becoming so moldy and algae covered.

More homeowner chores this morning, but I sprained my ankle and got cranky.
Worked on the Volvo in the afternoon. Got the brake & clutch pedals reinstalled. Got the gas linkage installed. Still need the gas pedal to go on. Slow going. I could have used another set of hands.

Did chores today. No fun car stuff. Grocery store run and things along those lines.
Watched the US F1 Grand Prix and thoroughly enjoyed it. Reached out to a guy about selling a set of Enkei RPF1 wheels that came with my BRZ and a stock set of wheels, but he wasn't interested. I'll take pics one of these days and put them on Craigslist or Facebook.
Mr. Osprey - hope the sprain isn't too bad and you recover soon.

Top Gear has two new hosts joining Chris Harris. I wonder why the change. It seemed like they had it together after they got rid Chris Evans

At $52,500 this spec Civic Si race car is a great deal IMO. This car that comes prepped from the factory can do it all from track days to Pirelli World Challenge.

Probably nothing new Levi.
Im leaning towards keeping the Si. Dealer offered $4k early this spring when I considered trading it in for the Type R. After talking to Jack Baruth in Kentucky, and seeing how enthusiastic he was about the FA5 sedan, I’m trying to cost out what it’ll take me to upgrade and use it for at least another few years.
Will keep you posted about plans.
