Took the PV 444 for a ride today. I think I've owned since April and getting to the point where I need to consider filling up with a 2nd tank of gas.

^ sounds like its pretty frugal on gas. Dr. B might like to borrow it for the summer.

Have you had it out on the highway? What kind of speeds can the car get up to? I'm assuming it is quite fast as it won at Lime Rock back in the day.

I don't think it's that fast. It has a 4.55 rear end that is good for pulling stumps.

I've had it up to about 50 on the local State highway. It seems to run easy enough at 50, but maybe with a bit of steering drift. Not sure that is my imagination or real, and if it is real, whether it is the ball joints or the bias ply tires.

From the garage floor, it looks like I have 4 or 5 oil leaks that I need to chase, plus a leak in the cooling system.

My 1960 544 had king pins and I suspect yours being older has them too. If you need to replace the kingpins you will need a proper reamer. When mine were done one wasn't available so I used a Sun piston pin hone. worked good. For me as a teen it was a fun car.

How is everyone making out with the nor’easter?

woke up expecting rain but there was about 6” on the ground. Made it in to work though and it wasn’t too bad of a commute except for a few white knuckle drivers. Should be another 5 or 10 on the ground by the time I get home per the weather peeps.

Had about 14" of cement in the driveway this morning. Took a full tank of gas and about 2 hours to clear it. Wish I could convince Ellen to move next year after we retire.

A friend of mine south of here had to clear 24". Said he had 3'-4' drifts in his driveway.

That’s a fair bit. Where south would you move to?

I'd consider Western NC/Northern GA near the mountains.
