Happy Thanksgiving all. Hope everyone has a good time with near and dear.

 

An hour's drive to Winsted branch of CT Motor Vehicle Dept. Then waited my turn and soon presented myself and my papers to the counter lady, Roxanne.

R.. "Did you get the car inspected?"

J. "Yes"

R. "Can I have the report?"

J. "Oh, I forgot it."

R. "I shouldn't do this but I'll look it up. ... Oh, I see it was inspected. How did you get it there for the test.?

J. "I drove on the seller's plates, then sent them back."

R. "Is the car insured?"

J. "Yes."

R. "Where's the certificate of insurance?"

J. After fumbling through some papers ... "Oh, I forgot that as well."

R. "Maybe it's on your phone"

J. after checking all over my outer pockets ... "Oh, I forgot that too."

R. "You can come back tomorrow with your papers - and you will need a check for $2,102.50."


Sheepishly, I presented myself to Roxanne, the counter lady, this morning and got the plates for Aashish's car.

And to think, just a few short months ago, I was running other people's legal affairs and making critical recommendations and decisions for them!

 

Share some pics with the new plates on if you haven’t stored it away yet. I got the plates yesterday and will turn them in next week.

 

Oh, I got crappy plates, and the car is in the barn already. BL-42389 or something like that. I was coveting the classic car plates for next year for the black car. Then the annual taxes would be about $45 versus about $325.

washed my s2k and put it away last night. Got it all tucked in for winter
I bought a foam cannon from harbor freight earlier this year and i will say for a guy who hates washing cars it sure makes it nice and quick.

I did a bunch of work on it this year and drove it a lot more than i did in years past but still not as much as i would have liked. Now that it's all dialed in i will make sure to drive it more next year. I may raise the ride height a little more, it's still awfully low. Not many mods on the horizon but i would like to do the acura brembro brakes up front and will probably powder coat my wheels black next year.
