Nah, this was a one-time thing where roads and highways were shut down for the vice president's motorcade.
Sure, traffic sucks more than it did during the plague, but yesterday was downright infuriating. My CIO left before I did and it took her 3 hours to get home.

Did the first round of tops in my new shop yesterday. Been a long time coming! I’ve been pretty tight lipped about this build but it’s time to share. A lot more work needed to get the shop where I want it but it’s nice to finally have a floor and all the space.

I always thought an old fire house would be the perfect spot for a cool garage. Tons of space for vehicles and typically very solid brick buildings.

Over the weekend, with some assistance, I got the new rear motor mount inserts installed in the Type R.
Wow.
I really understand why all the 10th gen Civic owners said this was the best bang for your buck mod you could do to the car. It feels totally different with the stiffer inserts. Wheel hop in 2nd was almost completely eliminated. The car feels more solid and plants itself through turns far better than it did before...and it was already pretty darn good at that already.
The inserts were only $35 or so. Seriously worth it.
Sure, it does add a bit more NVH (noise, vibration, harshness), but honestly I don't mind it. One, I'm not a huge fan of driving a floating couch, so more feedback is welcome. Two, I kinda like the extra vibration in the seat - especially at startup. Why? Well, as Aashish would say: "Because racecar!"
It is making me consider some stiffer motor mounts for the S2000. I'm sure the OEM rubber mounts are probably getting up there in age and should be replaced relatively soon.

To be honest, I don't think I want to track the Type R. If I were to start tracking a vehicle, I'd probably buy something I don't care about and outfit it with a cage and fuel cell.
I already have enough expensive hobbies as it is. Also, SWMBO would probably get a tad upset if I wanted to buy another car - especially with nowhere to put it.
