Anybody else gonna be at WGI on Saturday for Opening Day?
I have to go down so often for board meetings I will not be going down just for opening day.
What do you do, what do they offer on opening day?
3 laps behind a pace car for $25.

They offer this year round and call it "Thunder Road Tours". We did it while I was at a BMW CCA school in our Pilot, the kids loved it

Can you find it again?
Cant find it, but there was a reason why I did not purchase the Modifry Straps. As I searched I found several instances where it appears people botched the install. Done the right way, I guess they'll work. Still using my hand to push the top back though.

and here is someone concerned about voiding warranty

The BEST parade laps were had for the S2000 Vintage Spring Fling back many years ago
I pushed the pace car, hard, it was amazing, not only the speed, but the number of laps they gave us

I don't think any of us here are concerned about voiding the warranty.

Nothing in those links screamed "DON'T DO IT!" to me. A slight bulge in the top up where the elastic gets wrapped once around the bar? I can live with that.

I see no tales of "OMG, the Modifry straps wore a hole in my top!"

Sick of reaching up to pull the bar back. Some of us vertically challenged people don't care for it.

I secretly suspect my staps are as good as they are because A- my top is rarely if ever actually latched, and B- my top is rarely up and in direct sunlight

I got to do it on the VFR 2 years ago. Country Rode Motowerks and the BMW club do it once a year for charity.

yep! which is why I said, most of those seemed like botched installs.

Talking about tops...
I used TYPE B about 4-years ago, stuff has proven to be awesome

My top is really tight, and I was never happy with how it looked stretching over one of the rubber stops
I was always in fear someday that stop would wear out and a metal bar would poke through my top
So I added a layer of this stuff to strengthen the top
I put it on by following the instructions perfectly
And after all these years those patches are just as strong as ever

I love my covered parking ramp garage, my toys are not left out in the baking sun when I drive them to work, and of course at home they are always in the garage
