We had electric vehicles here at the University for a while, made by Global Electric Motors (GEM).

They were basically street-legal golf carts. They had headlights, turn signals, wipers, and even a defroster. On a full charge they could almost hit 30 mph going downhill.

Sadly, they spent more time broken than working.

One thing I did note about them, it was eerie how silent it was when you were sitting at a stop light.

HEY CONE_MARK

You might find this entertaining as you are an autoxer

I can't wait to see true electrics at an autocross. The torque would be great for the small courses. They need to make them lighter though.
Still remember the time I was owned by a Prius at a light. I could not believe how quickly that accelerated to 30MPH. Of course being a Prius and by virtue of its perceived lack of environmental impact it contained a rabid tree hugger inside, who then proceeded to stay at that speed in the left lane (even though limit was 40MPH) and block traffic.

Just some Reality TV star Jeff. One of the Paris Hilton types.

just hit me how hilarious it'd be to have a character in cars named after her. Thanks for the laugh JB

I did not see that. Thanks for bumping Ellen.

You know there are two things about this transaction that really make me feel happy.

A) Bike went to a good home
B) Buyer really seems to be appreciating what he has everyday. I wonder how many people out there are unhappy with the toys they have.

Glad to see that ol' Honda bring joy to a corner of the great state of Texas.

and the Civic Dash is awesome. Well-engineered, as speed is displayed in the line of sight without an expensive heads-up display option.
I still don't like it
Reminds me of this

very unfair
