Nor-easter is tracking more to the east so the Winter storm watch has been cancelled for here...instead of up to a foot of snow now only 1-3". That is good news indeed.

Just got an update from the car owner. My new ride is coming together!

Hi Mark,

Thought I would shoot you a quick update.

· Frame has been repaired and painted.
· Floors have been reinstalled
· Engine installed
· Radiators and cooling fans installed
· Cooling lines plumbed
· Fuel cell installed
· Fuel lines installed
· Oil lines installed
· Pedals refurbished and installed
· Throttle cable installed
· Brake lines run
· Shocks and pivot linkage installed
· Steering column installed
· Firewall installed

Goal for this weekend –
· Wire the car
· Install front suspension corners
· Install rear axle
· Get car off the saw horses and back on the ground

Next week –
Prep body panels for delivery to Ron on the 10th for paint.

I frankly am shocked that the admins of this site, given the current state of it and the
fact that it is in total disarray and so many people are unhappy, would allow such a post
to go on the first page that new people coming to the site would see!

This is NOT the time to be making jokes when you think about the volatility of people trying
to get through an upgrade that not one person is happy about. People missing years of
pictures, or are at least not able to find them, dealing with hundreds of old PM's coming
back that they now have to spend time weeding through to get rid of the ones they deleted
in the first place, no mys2k page any longer, the list goes on and on.

I sincerely hope that posting on the main page of s2ki cost the owners of this site money
and maybe they will think twice about the current situation on the site before pushing
people that are already unhappy to being downright angry. You can count me among them.

And I will add this, upon looking around in a bunch of different local forums across the country, and outside of the US, lots of people took this story, hook, line and sinker. It may be funny that they got fooled, but so many people just went straight to anger and rage. People believed it, and it was like dropping a match in a bucket of gasoline. Mark I hear you loud and clear, and I agree.

Guys, it is all my fault. It was my idea to do this with approval from the owners. I'm genuinely sorry for the offense it has caused "some" of you that I know very well.
