I'm very familar with Dolomite Quarries. I grew up near one in Penfield. The house shook just about every day from the blasting. There were several times my dad had to submit claims for broken windows. The link below shows the house and the quarry. The golf course is Shadow pines and was built on the left over fill from the excavation.

Where I grew up

Most interesting
Mom & Dad used to live on Dalton Rd, Honeoye Falls/Lima
Hanson Aggregates has a quarry on Honeoye Falls 6 Road, which backs up to the property
When I was born they sold that house and bought the farm in West Bloomfield
I'm sure they had the same problems, but the problem Mom always talked about was the dust
Just a constant layer of rock dust all over everything, inside and outside of the house

So, who is the geologist here, anybody?

Why so many quarries so close to us? Are we really sitting on something that special?
Is it because we are so close to Lake Ontario and we clearly underwater millions of years ago?

I knew something was wrong with that before I even selected the link
I did not know what was wrong, but I knew something was wrong
Now, I know what is wrong, and I have to go puke

Woke up pleasantly surprised to see it was sunny out and we got no snow! Just a few flurries blowing around but certainly nothing that will accumulate on the roads.

Did anyone read the post on the main page?

No problem, served a double purpose. Hope folks will read the front page posts that you and others put the effort into putting together.

But most of all, hopefully this will make folks think twice about getting behind the wheel impaired.

Looks totally original, and, awesome

You ain't kidding. Wish I had money Check out that VIN: JHMED9363MS008200. All Honda VINS should start with JHM!

Indeed. And it is a Knoxville car. Not too many rust causing factors there

Pretty sure if Gordy sees this, he will be all over it. Bidding btw is up to $8900

It's a damn good thing I didn't see this car before I bought the Civic Si Sedan. I can't fit another car in the driveway!
