I figure it would be a long weekend trip, or part of a week's vacation to visit my Dad in N.C.
That is why I'm interested in his presentation. Would like to know more about it before I invest time and money in the class. If you are bored Saturday, meet me there. You can drool on the $40k Bimota in the showroom.

Had the local folks look at my front bumper... quote for repair (including plastic weld and repaint) is $200. I think that's pretty reasonable considering. They will take bumper off for all this which makes me feel better, should be no problems with any other part of the car. The owner said it looks like the bumper has already been painted once before which does not surprise me.
Shop is owned by two brothers, they had a 95 Accord wagon in the shop that one of them owns. They specialize in Honda and other Japanese brands. Formula H recommended. Had a nice conversation. They will bring my car inside every night it's there. Forgot to ask if I could visit and take pics
Also willing to take payment via PayPal = credit card I think I'm gonna do it!

One of them. Other guy does great work and is reasonable but he's always backed up and it would take him a week plus to fix the car. These guys promised 3 days and they are 15 miles closer
Someone at FH backed into a customer's car and put a hole in their bumper. This shop fixed it so you could not tell the hole was there, for $100. I made sure and mentioned my FH connection
Also helped to talk shop about the Accord wagon I told the guy if it comes up missing he better NOT look in my driveway

Brian also removed my failed hard drive. He's done all he can to get anything off it but the main "ellen" section of the hard drive is not accessible <sigh>
I'm sending it to some data recovery specialists in NYC... no data, no pay. Seems like a great deal. If they are able to somehow miraculous recover my emails I am certainly willing to pay a $100 - 200 which they estimated. MAJOR

I should start an Ellen's life issues thread It would be too long and sordid though
I'm debating putting my front plate back on when I get the SUZUKA plate... I have to decide before I get the bumper fixed as they will be repainting the entire thing... he said he could remove the bumper plugs or simply paint over them...
If they are painted over it's a done deal and I won't be able to remove them w/o ruining the new paint...
So I am leaning towards removing them for the paint work and seeing how it looks with the front plate again. I used to run both when I had my TADASHI plate.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

As to an issues thread, Im sure everyones life is equally sordid if not sordider than others. As long as I am allowed to go off-topic in it and lay claim to 's Im ok with you starting one

Woot! I will be dropping the S off Wednesday morning. Apparently it's the guy's dad who is the paint pro... he was going to be out this week but had a change of plans. Will have the car back on Friday. Which means it will be (even more) gorgeous for the first Drive on April 10

Honestly, I think the plugs are too small to matter
If their paint is so far off in color that those 2 tiny little plugs look bad, then you got bigger problems than the 2 little plugs
I would not have the plugs installed on the bumper and then have the bumper painted.
