Doug should just get an Elise instead of losing his sleep over a hot hatch

The Elise solves none, none, none I say, of my needs........

Elise
- cost effective fun = no
- easy dealer network for repair = no
- able to move a decent amount of stuff so it can be used for normal daily errands = no
- good long distance cruiser = no
- reasonable insurance cost = no
- sheep in wolf's clothing = no
- capable of holding 4 track tires = no

CR-Z Type-R (in my dreams)
- cost effective fun = yes
- easy dealer network for repair = yes
- able to move a decent amount of stuff so it can be used for normal daily errands = yes
- good long distance cruiser = yes
- reasonable insurance cost = yes
- sheep in wolf's clothing = yes
- capable of holding 4 track tires = yes

Nissan Murano versus Honda S2000. Apparently the Europeans also get "hotter" SUVs than us plebians

Well that Murano is a one-off, but still, quite impressive

It seems like Toyota was not the problem, but the drivers were
Sad that any company would have to deal with a situation like this and the way it was blown way out of proportion
Reminds me of the expression 'shoot 1st ask questions later' maybe the government should have investigated 1st, then maybe they would not have needed to shoot

Oh well, at least it happened to Toyota and not one of the car companies I like

A RWD Subaru. Whats the world coming to?

But I think this may be the hot hatch is looking for

Looking more like a coupe to me
I'm not saying it won't be a hatchback
I'm just saying it looks like a coupe, just like the Acura RSX did

Would you absolutely rule out buying a 5-door even if it scored better on other attributes?
