Honda has never been able to make a dependable auto shift, right from the first "Hondamatic" to today
From my short time at formula H, it seems like people would experience noise and/or poor shifting, bring it in and first diag is check trans fluid... normally with those symptoms fluid had chunks of metal in it.
That's about all I know... poor shifting, noise, metal in the fluid, they would recommend replacement.
Refurb trannies are pretty inexpensive compared to a rebuild and come with a 2-3 year warranty which a rebuild would not...
Usually given the choice people go with replacement and warranty option

changes considering the car sits for at least 4-5 months out of the year.
I guess I'll just live with it...a refurb tranny and install still sounds expensive.
Right now I have other plans for my $$$$$$$........

I hate to ask but am hitting a brick wall with tech support
Can a few of you try this link and see what you get??
http://www.hondabeat.com/articles/140/
I keep getting a page not found... but tech support says it is loading the actual article which it's supposed to (http://www.hondabeat.com/article_details.php?ID=140)
Thank you!

Almost as much of a waste as giving an Enzo to Clara Peller.

Is anybody here familiar/close to APZ installs or Broken Motorspsorts? I recently won gift certificates to each place and i want to sell them dirt cheap.

Who's Clara Peller??
BTW, if one wants a mod they should just go ahead and buy it. I've been debating between getting a bumper guard and a splitter and it seems like McCune Technology (Grill Accessories) have run out of splitters for the AP2 (for cars without the front lip).
Seriously I debated for so long that I deserved it.

Glad that Nissan is doing the right thing by the GT-R.
The 2012 GT-R is NOT your average mid-cycle refresh

Apparently this tech support guy is not as smart as the others have been, sigh.
I'm using a Linux server "re-write" script which is supposed to parse a search engine friendly URL like: http://hondabeat.com/articles/140/Article-Title-Here/
and actually pull up the dynamic, not so friendly actual URL that looks like: http://www.hondabeat.com/article_details.php?ID=140
behind the scenes. The tech support guy was apparently looking at the link that I know works (with the ID=140) and saying "your page works fine". Yup - I know - duh!
When I painstakingly explained (for the 4th time) my issue/question - he wrote back to me "you don't have an /articles/ directory". And again - I know - duh!
The re-write script is supposed to make it work behind the scenes... so you don't need to have the actual directory...
I found 7 different examples and tried each one with same results. My script is correct. Something on their server is not allowing it to work, and he's just not getting that - or not wanting to admit it. 3 days working on this

I just love the new black lower body detail
One million times better than that Lexus crap!
