Still driving it, tranny hasn't gotten any worse over time
That's what I gathered from your posts Makes you wonder about all the people that dump a new trans into their car - how long they could have held off... it's all too common a repair at Honda shops now.

My Civic doesn't shift right half the time when it's cold and Tom says the Insight is the same way, especially the sub zero days we had.

I mentioned these books in a previous chat thread, but now that I've finished the first and am 1/2 way through the second, I have to bring it up again.

If you like to read and consider yourself a sports car fan, you have to check these out! Especially if you are a fan of the early history of real road racing in America. (I think Doug would enjoy these in particular.)

B.S. Levy books

Living dangerously today - heat turned down and a window open... so nice to have fresh air in the house.

It is official! I'll be co-driving the formula car this season. We already have plans to take it to two National Tours and the National Championships.

I'll second what Mark has said. I've read the first 4 books. My father just purchased the 5th book during the Grand Prix Festival this year (the author was there signing the books no less), and I'm hoping to get a chance to read that soon.

You'll love these books. I have the first 4 if anyone wants to borrow them.

Aashish,

Regarding CART

I'm almost positive that you would be able to do Lime Rock and/or Pocono with the Civic Si. When I went to Pocono, it looked like about 15% of the field were using street cars. BMW's and maybe a Lexus sedan. Use this link to contact CART and ask them.
Thank you Jeff. I will look into that. Sounds tempting for sure.

Gilly - No worries. Not going to do any such thing anymore.

Cone Mark - Congratulations on running in the nationals in the little formula car. Started reading The Last Open Road last night and went through two chapters. I will likely finish it this weekend or before it.

Doug - There is only one worse thing than you trading your Ferrari overalls for a Mercedes and MB gear, and that's buying a Mistubishi Eclipse. Avoid at all costs. A friend and one of my BIL's owned them and were not too happy with the car or the dealer network. That thing (older models) has the turning radius of a limousine. AVOID!!
