Great news indeed.

We currently have 6. I am waiting on a fellow upstater to confirm. If he is in, then we should be 7.

 

Glad to hear we reached passed the minimum. Doesn't matter to me where we stay, I will have a trailer with me so ample parking is a plus, not sure if I could leave that at Watkins or not.

 

In the past if you arrived at the track before 9 or so in the evening you could go up and drop your trailer. Makes it much easier to deal with hotel parking for sure. I usually end up leaving mine the night after as well and picking up the next morning.
Also not too picky about where we stay as long as it isn't too VIP.

 

I overheard some guy from a cruise agency calling for Nancy. AARGH!

 

My father has a fairly large garage equipped with a lift, if people need it I am more than happy to host a track prep day a weekend or two prior to the event. May be a little travel for some as it's in central, mass, but if people are willing to travel I'm happy to host!

In other news, BM612 is in for Tuesday the 9th. He is yet to confirm what run group he will be a part of but he most definitely is in as per PM conversation.

He said he may drive up the morning of the 9th or try getting there the night before. I suggested that he come in the night before as he has a 3 hour drive to get to Watkins Glen.

 

Just an FYI I'm probably going to book my room at the Budget Inn right on Franklin St. for the reasons stated previously.

It's cheap and clean and you can see your cars from your room.

We should all try to book in the same hotel so we could hang together after a day of racing!
