We have one dropout. Shiv sent me a PM saying his engine lost oil pressure and gave up the ghost. Hopefully he is able to find another engine and get his car running. Shiv has asked to withdraw from the group.

I have e-mailed Ian and asked if we can find someone else to replace Shiv. Hopefully he says YES, and we can find someone. If Ian emails back in the affirmative, I would appreciate your help in getting word out to anyone that may be interested.

EDIT: Ian wrote back. He wants to keep the list closed. So eight it is.

Thanks for mailing it out. I'd like to get the payment to SCDA soon as possible.

Call the Budget Inn on Franklin Street. A few of us are staying there.

The Falls Motel is another place that people recommend. I've only ever stayed at the Budget Inn though. It is no frills but clean

The Falls is clean and no frills, they have a restaurant on the property and its close to the track. They are usually around $100 / night.

Let's all try to stay at the Budget Inn if possible, then we could all meet up at the grocery store across the street and roll in together on Monday morning.

Sorry to report that the Mrs will be with me on this trip and that always requires a POOL, which the Longhouse Motel has covered.

BTW - not to hi-jack this thread but I wanted to report that I will be heading to the NEW NY Safety Track on Friday for the member track day. Its located outside Oneonta.

I am eagerly awaiting to hear what your thoughts are of this track, seems like a good deal, but it also doesn't seem like they currently have the safest setup..
