Track Days 2017 - Itching to Get on Track

I would suggest to everyone, do what Paul did and buy a set of 3 magnetic 8" high numbers.
Then you can create a unique number for any event that numbers are not assign - also you have a set for Auto-x.
I know CHIN does not assign numbers and I do not believe RUD does either.
Jeff - I can let you borrow a set of the very special #59 plates that were used at Daytona.
Just putting them on your car will make you "appear" faster !

Oh, I was thinking of using my yellow numbers to create a black & yellow #59 to insure that everyone knew who to blame if my driving is less than par.
I have to move the MG off the jack stands and out of the garage to make way for the S. But having a lot of difficulty making appropriate progress.

Jeff, let me know if I can provide any motivation from afar, I too am very very busy trying to get my car on track with SCDA on 4/10 at Palmer.
But I am very fortunate in that I have a secret S2000 weapon, one that fix cars like a machine, with accuracy of a robot and the enthusiasm of that Energizer Battery Rabbit.
Its the one, the only Mr Ennis from JSEnclosures Inc- if you don't recongize the name then I will just call him JAKE.
I would be lost without him !.

SCDA shared info about this webinar for Lime Rock.
It costs $49.00 and I think it would be a good option for those of us that frequent LRP a lot.

go to that website and you can register. Webinar starts at 7:30 PM.

1. There is no shame in asking for an instructor, no matter what level you are at. Only keep in mind that when you move up, organizations expect you to not need an instructor for more than one session.
2. You may be the slowest in a faster group. Don't let that intimidate you. See what the others are doing, be courteous and keep the point-by hand ready as you watch and observe and learn from the faster guys.
3. If at any time, you feel uncomfortable, ask to be dropped down a level. Alternatively, if you are heading to a track you have never driven, sign up for the novice class and let the instructor/event organizer know that what you are seeking is familiarity and once the instructor feels comfortable, she/he should sign you off to drive solo.
4. Remember, no matter the level you are at, it all boils down to the basics and doing them right. So smooth inputs, eyes up and ahead and ensure the car is always balanced through every section of the track.
