Thinking of getting a personalized plate for the s2000.. My question is, can I register the old plate to another car?

Lol! I want the VANISHER plate but I don't want to give up my original white and blue plate... I want to register it on another vehicle eventually. Do I have to register the old plate right away or can I keep it for a while?

You must first transfer the existing plates to another vehicle. Once you transfer them, you apply for new plates for the first vehicle. Once you get the new plates you then can apply for a vanity plate. If you apply for a vanity plate before transferring them you will lose the existing plates.

easy. find a person on this forum who has a car with no plates. offer to pay for registration etc to register that car with your old plates. when you get new car, transfer them back into your name.

or. wait until you get another car... or. transfer them to one of your gas guzzling SUVs
