and one more thing that i had forgotten to mention...why is it that it freakin' cost 300buck to fly to chicago from here? heard Syracuse has the highest airfares in the country and it only costs 100 bucks round trip from buf to ord. i just cant seem to like this this place...

Fly out of Rochester if you can. It's WAY cheaper. Ever since I've lived there, Syr. has always had that problem with higher air fares. It just isn't as busy as some of the other major airports.

There are plenty of great roads up in this part of the state, you'll just have to wait a few months for the sand/salt to go away.

Adirondacks are not bad. But being in Upstate NY, you're not far from the Fingerlakes. The roads around the lakes are incredible. Scenery is also great.

Syacuse isn't that bad... I've been living there for 6 years and have gotten used to it. I guess it all depends on where you go and what you like to do. Idiots are not regional but national. Doesn't matter where you go.

You have to see the windmills out by Cazinovia. Great twisty is Rt 13 from Chittinango thru Caz down thru Ithaca ending in Horseheads or vise versa. Wednesday night at Toggenburg Ski Area in Fabius just outside of Cuse is a lot of fun I'll be there. Good food, some good people, and party starts at 8pm right after the race. You must ware orange and never speak ill of the Orangemen.
