Speeding point transferable to MD?
I was stopped by a police officer tonight for going 50 in a 40 zone. I have no previous record in NY and was told that the ticket will result in 2-3 points. My car is registered in Maryland and I hold a valid Maryland Driver's License. I was wondering if the points are transferable. Does the point show in my Maryland record?

Sorry to hear the news, they got ya in Henrietta someplace I assume...
I don't know how that works if you have an out of state license.
I hope it was not in a work zone because if so they can double the fine in NY.

Not sure what the rules are these days, but many years ago I got a ticket while in Florida. Florida and NY had transferrable points. I paid the ticket immediately and the points never showed up.

Points are not transferable for minor offenses. Unpaid and ignored offenses in New York State will result in a suspended home state liscense. Your insurance company will find out and charge you for it. Plead not guilty and agree to disobeying a traffic device at/or before trial. Make sure to check the box that requests a written deposition and send the ticket in return recipt requested. If written deposition comes in late (over 30 days) you can get complete aquittal. Send in that ticket with a NOT GUILTY plea today.
