Hi,
I'll be there, but can we try a different car or am I going to get persecuted for it?
LOL
Rob
As I told you. Different car is fine. You just have to bring up the rear

Did you get the Corvette or the M?
I vote for persecute then he can drive in the back

Yes, do it! Insurance will pay KBB retail. LOL

Anyway, change of plans. A co-worker is also coming so she'll be driving the CR (well at least she said she wants to go).

This was a long weekend. How is everybody's weekend? We should have more weekly meets.

Start will be at Exit 28 off Northway (I-87) (Route 74, Ticonderoga, Paradox Lake) This exit is at Northway Milepost 88.1 Exit 28 is 1 3/4 hours north of the Hudson River crossing in Albany and about 50 minutes north of Lake George Village exit. From Clifton Park rest area, probably about 1.5 hours. About 35 minutes north of the Warrensburg Exit and say 30 minutes north of the Chestertown exit (which I think is Route 8 for those coming from the west.

Exit 28 is about 1 hr, 20 min. south of Plattsburgh if you happen to come from that direction.

For Conedodgers staying in Long Lake, it is at least a one hour drive East on the Blue Ridge Highway which you pick up in Newcomb. Lands you at Exit 29, then go south on I-87 one exit.

No real parking area. Pull off the highway, go east a very short distance, cross Route 9 and pull over. Very expensive Sunoco station with snacks on right a hundred yards South on Route 9.

Expect slim pickings for lunch. This is a drive, not a dining event.

Theoretical Route

Exit 28 – Route 74 – Ticonderoga

1. East on Route 74 to Corduroy Road, Route 2
2. Left on Corduroy Road, Route 2 to Penfield Museum / Ironville
Stay on Route 2 past Penfield Museum (Creek Road)
3. Right on Route 7, Vineyard Road towards Ticonderoga to Route 22
4. Hard left onto Route 22 through Crown Point Village
5. Right onto Lake Road outside Crown Point Village
6. Right onto Bridge Road
7. Left into Crown Point Park. Stop for possible pictures.
8. Cross Bridge into Vermont
9. First Right onto Route 125. Heading South along lake. Take second left
10. Second left off of Route 125 (about 4 miles)
11. Stay straight through one intersection. Take Second Left at white church
12. Short, take left onto Route 17 back towards Crown Point Bridge
13. Stop (?) at Ice Cream Snack Bar.
14. Cross Crown Point Bridge back into New York.
16. Right (third ?) onto Route 50, Russell Street or onto Creek Road (fifth ?)
17. Proceed as far as Route 7 (White Church Road)
18. Right onto Route 7 (White Church Road) towards Moriah
19. Proceed to intersection with burned out house / store in Moriah Center ?
20. Left onto Route 4 - Ensign Pond Road / North Hudson - Moriah Road – Heading west
21. Follow Route 4 until end.
Take right. Then take another right onto Route 9.
22. Take Route 9 under I-87 to Mixmaster. Bear right onto Route 9. To New Russia.
23. Take right in New Russia onto Simonds Hill Road. To end at top of hill.
24. Take right onto Lincoln Pond Road - Route 7. Go past pond up hill until Y intersection.
25. Take right onto Route 70, Dalton Hill Road.
26. Take Right onto Tracey Road. Go until end. Take Right onto Route 9.
27. Take Route 9 to Mixmaster, bear left onto Route 73.
28. Into Keene Valley. Possible lunch stop at Noonmark Diner.
29 Continue North on Route 73 into Keene.
Possible stop for photos at Keene Airport.
30. Right across from Taxidermy shop onto East Hill Road (Route 13) (Keene Hill Climb) a/k/a Hurricane Road at Glenmore.
31. Stay on paved Hurricane Road to end
32. Take left onto Route 9 N toward Elizabethtown.
33. Take left on River Road (Water Street?) to avoid Parade to blinking traffic light.
34. Take left at blinking traffic light on Route 9.
35. Take first right onto Route 8 Wadams Road towards Wadams.
36. In Wadams, take a left onto Walker Road, Route 10. Go past bread shop. Bear right at the first Y intersection staying on Walker Road.
37. Bear right onto Route 55, still Walker Road to Wallons.
38. In Wallons, go straight across intersection onto Wallons Bay Road (Route 55).
39. Right onto Lake Shore Road towards Westport.
40. In Westport, take 9N West towards Elizabethtown.

The Shirt doesn't care about "mights" and "depends on"! Hell, The Shirt just learned that his +1 might be a red head with long ears and 4 legs.

Is that stopping him? Nooo! But it sure will make a difference in the navigation -- well .... perhaps that might be an improvement!
