At the suggestion of the thoughtful Harley rider who greeted us outside the diner with "buy 'Merican," I went ahead with it after some deserving research. And now, I proudly announce that I am running the following app on my phone: http://www.mericanmade.com

Pretty sure this is what the bearded gentleman was talking about. I'll never be late to another cultural sensitivity training seminar at work using this tool. Thank you office-conscious faux-rebel carbureted bicycle enthusiast.

Fasting...

The Sumitomos get a ! I was impressed with them for a budget tire choice. Never did anything weird on the drive. No howling in the tight stuff. Like the Eibach Pro kit springs and sway bars too. Alignment felt good. First time pushing the car with this setup and it felt great!

Did you really need to go down to second? I did the roads in Fifth and Sixth with maybe four drops to Fourth over the entire twisties sections- maybe it's my 4:56 gears?
You and me were the same Dave...
Ensign Pond and Tracey were 90% third gear for me. Nice flow, very little need for brakes. Hurricane road needed some moderate braking and downshifts to second gear. I enjoyed Aric's pace, but I'm thinking it may have been too aggressive for a group like this. Not knowing everyone's skill and comfort level, a slightly slower pace may be the way to go. Or, as others have mentioned, break in to two groups. One "spirited" and one for those more interested in scenery.

I thoroughly enjoyed the spirited parts! My wife was a trooper till the end, but had enough by the time we revisited Tracey road. I may be solo if I come up again.

I went down to second once or twice on Hurricane Rd. Largely stayed in 3rd and 4th though elsewhere. 6th gear while we were cruising.

The affordable supertire plunge...
Conedodger approved.
Mine were/are toast and this drive had them talking to me a few times. New front ones are in the SUV and I'll mount them up and road-force them this/next week.

Windows live movie maker did not process all the video yesterday. I restarted the process this evening at 6:00 PM and as of now the software is processing video 8 of 9. I have 4 hours of footage to go through and I wont be able to pull an all-nighter as I need to be in the office and alert tomorrow

So I uploaded my pics and here are a few. To view the full album click here

Great pics A2!! Looking forward to the video. Can't wait to see some of the GoPro footage taken on those amazing roads.
