Default Snow Brushes For Your Winter Rat

Well, after fifteen faithful seasons, my snow brush has gone to snow brush Valhalla. The top of it finally broke off after some vigorous ice scraping this morning.

I'd been using a brush that extended via a telescoping pole, and that was rather handy. This is pretty similar to what I had:

I figure if there are better options out there, I'm all for it. Considering the amount of snow we get, I think I'd rather pay for a quality brush that will last for another fifteen winters rather than get something cheap.

What do you guys use/recommend?

i use this:

it also has a removable rubber squeegee on the "scraper" portion of the brush that you can use to clean your back window from melted snow after being parked for a bit.

its by hopkins:

i also have a seperate small ice scraper for added leverage when i need it.

I use something called a sno rake. The head is an orange spongey kind of material with a telescoping handle. Allegedly, it is what car dealers use to remove snow without scratching the paint. Those vinyl bristles can give you spider web type scratches.

I'd post a picture but doing that is a PITA so if you want to see one, Google sno rake images.

I've heard about the sno rake before - seems like a good way to remove deep snow as opposed to a brush.

Do you just carry a separate scraper for ice, or is the rubber adequate at removing that as well?

I have this one bought it at home depot:

The only thing I did was remove the telescopic handle and replaced it with a standard wood broom handle. It works great.

Here is link to home depot:

I use the Sno Brum for snow. I dont scrape my window because I cover it with cardboard tucked under the wipers at night. For emergency scraping I keep a little one in the back but haven't used it in years.
