It seems no matter how careful I am, I still manage to inflict some damage or do something the wrong way

We need to do a Tri State #2!!!
Down south, Rt. 44 near Ellenville is one of the best roads I've ever been on. If anyone local to there wants to plan a possible route around there, I'd be down.

Mark, where were you on July 17 when we did the Solidarity Drive for Levi?
To fix your route a little, you go up the east side of Lake George to Ticonderoga. I think on Route 22, You can also cut of some distance by going straight across on the Blue Mtn Highway due west from Exit 29 (North Hudson) to Newcomb. That road is pretty straight but you lose all the traffic around Lake Placid
Next year I am planning the Levi drive starting at Exit 28, opposite Ticonderoga and pretty much sticking to the Champlain Valley east of Route I-87.
And if you ever get off at Exit 30, take a right and immediate left and you will be on Tracey Road. Seven miles of curves and you can then turn around and come back. You blood wil be pumping!

I might try to put together something starting in Ellenville area.. there are TONS of great roads in that area, the s2kca club does a Catskills Drive there almost every year.
There are some great roads near Lake George as well - again s2kca put on S2K Days there in 08 and had 4 separate drives in the area.

^ we need to establish our presence in the Catskills. I think it's a great idea to have a drive there.
Mark nice long route there. Except for 87, I've been told Rte 30 is a lot of fun

Brian sent me a message saying he'd get the video complete soon. He is attending a concert in Buffalo this weekend and he just came back from two days at the Glen. Poor kid, he has such a busy schedule
