Next time I am thinking about it I will try and snap a photo of the sign. I goto the bank in NY every week. I wonder if the town can just put up any sign they want to and they do that simply to try and scare people into NOT using them?

Is that sign out on Rt 149 or am I thinking of someplace else?

(the road that heads towards Lake George outlets and such)

I'm way south of that. Bennington is right across from Hoosick Falls along route 7.

Basically it comes down to being respectful to the officer

And, I have heard more than once a cop issuing a no-plate ticket to a speeder who has a clean license but who was running no plate, as in the slap on the wrist warning. In fact I know of a guy who got a failure to wear seatbelt instead of a speeding ticket. In fact it was kind of funny, because the conversation went like this
Cop- slow it down in the future
Driver- ok, sorry officer
Cop- Here is your ticket for failure to wear a seatbelt, don't make me tell ya again, you have to wear that thing
Driver, but officer, my belt was on the whole time
Cop- Don't make me tell ya again, you have to wear that thing.
Driver- Oh (he gets it) sorry officer, I'll be sure to wear my belt in the future (as he sits there with his belt still attached).

Yeah but did they end up having dinner together?

I'd rather pay the no plate than speeding ticket I used to have a front plate but then Lainey said she likes to be a scoff law and NOT run one so I couldn't let her show me up

I had heard that too and that was part of my rational for leaving the plate off...didn't work. I got the speeding ticket, but did not get the no plate ticket.

Eh, I think I'm just going to keep my AZ registration and not have to worry about not having a plate on the front

Yup, ya never really know how it is going to go....

And talking about speeding tickets, I sure wish I could hand them out. The morons who fly past my house at 60+ mph and I live in a 40 mph zone. I always want to call the cops and beg them to start patrolling the road, and then I realize, that will be just when I'm going downhill in the Titan and it gets up to 47 mph and a cop will get me.

I have thought so many times this would be so damn funny to buy one of these and put it out on my front yard, REALLY close to the road.

The company promotes them as speed deterants.
