His sister in law drove a Pacer and totally loved it. I still think the Pacers were weird but rather cool for it's time.
I took my road test when I was 16 in my sister's Pacer
The car looked odd for sure, but there were no blind spaces...

Wish I'd had a camera with me last night. Saw a very clean Pacer wagon in Brockport.

The seats in that thing were really low. He had to screw a block on the clutch for me so I could depress the clutch fully, and he built up the back of the seat so I could sit taller. I think I used a pillow too. LOL! They were not made for people who were only 5' tall.

Back in the day I had a 73 blue Hornet X, standard shift, V8. I remember trading it for a new 76 Mustang Cobra 2. That was also blue with white stripes, V8 and 4 speed. A year later that got traded for a 77 black/gold Trans Am.

It was good with all the Delorians there, but Dr. Who's Tardace is what pushed it over the top for me
