a few pics from Mid-Ohio
after they let me run just by myself, here are the rest of the people in my group trying out the S2000. I got to go back on twice more oh! and the Corsa exhaust on these cars sounds awesome. Too bad it cant be found on sale anywhere
The S2000's parked after the session was done. Notice the tire skid marks. Dave Roush loves parking these cars
Awesome! Sounds like a great time!

I felt at home and waay faster in the S2K and Im sure my times were around the Mid 30's like the guys that did the shootout. The TSX proved to be my undoing as it lacked an LSD and the front was washing out. Also as soon as I did my competitive run (in the TSX), I immediately realized that I had not gone fast through some sectors ( in order to avoid understeer and wheelspin I may have compromised a sector). I was a few hundredths of a second off of the top 6. Had I qualified and won the S2K runoff, my second day would have been free. If I had one more run, I'd probably have improved, but in any case, I need to work on my autoX skill.

You should ask your girlfriend to listen to "Beauty and the Beast". In one of the songs there is a line about Gaston: "He uses antlers in all of his decorating"!
My friend Glenn had a similar problem with some antlers I gave him to hang in his living room. His wife objected strongly - and it became an issue between us (the mife and me). But then we went to Scotland where all of the main rooms in all of the small hotels had deer heads or antlers hanging. After that Glenn finally received "permission" to hang the antlers in his main entry hall, where they are the main attraction.
I have a smaller head of a "fay" deer that my friend Dave gave me. It's hanging in the main room at our camp. We really like it.
I'm conflicted: I believe that animals have personalities and I would never shoot a deer and rarely would I keep a fish (rarely do I catch one, anyway). Yet, I do enjoy the mounts; I almost bought a chipmunk mount a few weeks ago.
Move it out to the main room and mount it over the fireplace is my recommendation!

WTH - how come no one invited the Upstate folks? Guess I need to troll the Metro forum more often
S2KCA used to be good for 2-3 NJ area drives per year - nothing in 2011 though
Lainey, great photos of a cool paint job

Those NY pics are really cool. How do you get them to be a slide show without us having to click a link?
Also car related. A classic car in a show had this leaning up against the trunk. Who's in the back seat?
Real cool "junk" in this trunk.
