That was fun to watch. Got any videos from the race?
Mark, this You-Tube process in new to me, as I borrowed Aashish's camera. I do have some race footage, but after the start, it's mostly me by myself. The only editing I can do on my computer is to clip the video , which is what I have done for the two videos I have posted. I need to copy the race footage to my computer (time consuming) and then clip into shorter segments. Uploading to You-Tube is also very time consuming, but may try to do overnight, if I can copy the big files.
In any case we also need to see pics of the trophy. If you want me to, I can edit all your footage and make a concise version

Early apex moment at 5:59 on the recon lap video
Just kidding. I loved the layout of VIR. It looks awesome Jeff. Im glad you got to do it and also that you did well
Did you mount the GoPro on the fenders to get a view from that angle at all?

I really think you should consider bringing the MG to Watkins Glen next year and participating in the races there.
I'm all for having another S2000 at KSRT, but this would be too cool.

I have to say that I agree with that. It would be cool if you managed to drive the MG A at WGI Jeff. Think about it, you'd have a full pit crew and a whole section of fans waving to you as you go through the bus stop.

Jeff, if you are considering a Go Pro or similar camera down the line, I suggest you read this link. This product appears to overcome the shortcomings of the GoPro and is available at a lower price point.

It appears that I cannot post three videos, so look to the following posts:
The three videos constitute the Gold Cup race on Sunday, not including the crash at the Oak Tree. I completed 8 laps on a 9 lap race. After the start, I'm mostly running by myself until I start to get lapped in the later part of the race. Each video is about 12 minutes long. If I was only going to watch one video, it would probably be the middle one, unless you want to see the start of the race from the back of the pack.
They had me running a 2:42 lap on lap 8, but my transponder must have malfunctioned. Based on the video, it looks like I was running 3:03 laps, or there-abouts.
In the third video, you see me pulling up in front of the winner's circle and then at the very end, being presented with the trophy. Based on the cars present and speeches already made, it looks like they had to wait awhile for me to come in.
I agree that my driving is sloppy, so don't be too critical. You can see how flummoxed I was by Turn 1 and the Oak Tree Corner. That is partly related to my inability to heal & toe with this car.
I was surprised that I couldn't get the car over about 93 mph despite the long straights. That must be close to its maximum speed.
Oh, sorry about the bugs!

You sir, are a better driver than most of us. You are out there doing it, while we sit here on an armchair commenting
