Jeff, from what I see yours is also prettiest to the eye of the cars you ran with. Too bad you have to run a big rollbar as the MG is very photogenic IMHO.

Zzziipp, I would have joined CART several years ago to run the S but for the roll bar issue. So, now I have the MG instead.

BTW, my new rear view mirror was a big improvment!

Great pics and write up Jeff! Sounds like a fantastic day

He couldn't make the turn coming out of the infield onto the main track and with tires screaching, was headed straight to the outside wall. Missed it by about a foot
I know EXACTLY where that is!!! I think you guys did the same end of the track we did with the Del Val Miata club.

The car looks great.

On track it is recommended to set tire pressures higher and I'm glad you got that figured out. The cornering and braking loads are higher on a tire and you also get better grip when the tire is inflated as the tire's contact patch is greater. Even my Si and Mark's S2000 had the tire pressure set to 40 PSI.
Aashish, I asked the guy I bought the car from what tire pressure he was running and he told me 18 lbs of pressure. He had Hoosiers on the car and they looked really soft. The Hoosiers however, are banned by the VSCCA as they believe the suspensions on the old cars are not sufficiently strong for the "stick" of a racing tire. I was running 34 at Pocono and Lime Rock thinking it was 30, and lowered to 30 lbs for Montecello (where the tires felt squirmy), but didn't run long enough. So now I know.

Friday October 15 (afternoon), & Saturday, October 16 (morning).

Car has no brakes and no electrical at the moment. I can resolve the electrical, not so sure about the brakes. Tried to put on flexible steel brake hoses and have a leak I can't resolve. Sending for parts.

And I figured that I can't put on a conventional muffler system, so I may not pass the decible level test for this event.

Come, I'll need a timer if they let me run!

Not licensed, but have received a Certificate of Achievement.
