Looks like about 80 miles, 1.5 hours - 75% of it is highway. Are there rest areas along 84
Can't find an actual address but I got detailed directions and map of area so I should be OK. Worst case, I drive around lost for a while, then tell GPS to take me home

I was wondering that too, hope all was well Jeff, sorry I was not able to get there to see you. Please let us know your future schedule of events though!

Epic!
Untried and untested car beset by mechanical issues all day Saturday with no real time to fix because of driver's school classes. Was able to get and keep car on track - once overheating and once bleeding profusely from a cut finger juryrigging a last minute "connection" of wires to distributor after I lost the nut trying to get the tack to work.
Got up early today and went to track and made reliable repair to wiring to the distributor and said "to hell with the tach"!
Did three track sessions on Saturday, probably about 45 laps. Did two 10 lap novice races this morning, and that was the end of driver's school.
Talked my way into two additional 10 lap races with the veteran drivers, so got some bonus track time. Late in the second race, I had a bit of an incident with two cars making a pass on me (left and right) on a curve at the same time -- and running out of room, I locked up my front brakes and thought I was going off track - but stayed on (don't ask me how). But the next time around, I felt that I was losing my brakes so I retired.
I think my top speed yesterday was about 75 and today about 87. May need a different ratio in the rear end to do much better.
With a 50 year old open, unknown car, this feels like riding the missle delivering the nuclear bomb at the end of Dr. Strangelove (Or How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb). But it was quite a thrill.
Sorry I missed you yesterday Ellen. You would have liked it very much and there was a Formula Ford and another group as well. But I wouldn't have had much time to "entertain" you because I was in three positions: in class, on track or under the hood - all day. Was busy the whole time and couldn't take any photos.
Saw a yellow, w. black hardtop S at Pocono today doing a driver's school on another course. Pennsylvania plates. Was wearing # 23X. I tried to waive him down but he was apparently headed out to the track.
Thanks for all your well wishes. Now I have to track down my wife, who I haven't seen or spoken to since Wednesday!
