Idiot light
When I start the car the Maintenance light blinks 9 times before going out for good. I just noticed this. Anyone know if this is an error code I should be paying attention to or should I just ignore it??????

It should display a code as you keep hitting the select button shouldn't it?
Maybe time for routine maintenance is all. But check to see if you can find the code, then someone with a shop manual can look it up and tell you what it means. Is the oil level fine? They say AP1's consume oil.

It is a pre-programmed reminder that mother Honda thinks you are due for an oil change.
To turn it off:
1) Turn ignition to the lock position.
2) Press and hold the trip meter reset button.
3) Turn the ignition switch on.
4) Continue holding the button until the indicator resets.

I personally like both cars, you know that. I'd never say one is superior than the other like some do

They also say Mobil 1 contributes. I have an AP1, and run Mobil 1, and use maybe 1/2 quart between oil changes. (Typically around 5k miles.) I would say that is on par with every vehicle I have ever owned.
