Default I did the pre-drive last Saturday...

Let me just say, I spent the entire day Saturday going over the route one more time, making some really cool changes.

I will post a thread with all the final details by Tuesday morning. Essentially very little has changed so plan on being at the meeting point in Weedsport at or before 10:00 this Saturday.

The drive is broken up into two parts, the before lunch and the after lunch. We will stop for lunch at about noon or slightly before depending on how long we are at the photo opportunity location. Lunch will be at Wendy's in Auburn. After lunch we will have the largest of the to run portions and if all works according to plan we should be at the Pumphouse around 4:00. Those who want to hang can, those who need to go home can do so.

VERY IMPORTANT
YOU MUST fill up your tank at the 10:00 meeting point. I do not want to stop a dozen times for different people to get gas, and where we are going gas stations are not in every little town, so I'm warning you all, if you run out of gas along the way it will be your own fault. In addition, when we do stop for gas it will be a bargain, I paid $1.88/gallon for 93 premium on Saturday.

This route is going to show Carmen what Upstate is really like. And I sure hope we have nice top down weather so we can all enjoy the farm fresh air we will run into once in a while.

Skip, the diner is fine, not as good at Montour Falls, but still not bad. I suspect we may have reserved parking come Saturday, one of the employees there was just crazy for my car and was sooooo excited to think he would see 2 Spas and one Formula on Saturday AM. Well that is if Eric can get up early enough to join us.

Doug,
What time are you meeting? is this for breakfast? I think another formula should be there to even out the color; 2 spa, 2 formula.

Jeff, that would be great if you wanted to join us. I'll even have John in my car at breakfast time.

The diner is about 2 minutes from the meeting place just off exit 40. Because I want to be early for everything I think we should meet at the diner at 8:45 AM.

The run from exit 46 to exit 40 is just about excactly 1 hour, I was doing about 70 to 75 and it was like 65 minutes right to the diner.

I'll be there, or I can meet you when you say at Thruway Henrietta entrance to follow each other.

Awesome, awesome, awesome!

I can't wait to get out there Saturday. It doesn't matter if its gonna rain or not! It should still be a blast of a time!

I'll be bringing along some car trinkets from Radio Shack, and King Motorsports, plus a very detailed and colorful S2000 Hyper Rev book that some saw at the last meet out by Ithaca last summer.

I'm still working on finding a pal to ride with me out there. I have one more person, or my sister to take with me.

Wow Doug, this is going to be an awesome run!

I intend to meet for breakfast. The dog will go to the kennel Friday night, so I can enjoy the whole day without worrying about being away too long.

I went up to Weedsport on Sunday to verify travel time. I approached Weedsport from Route 31 heading east. There is a bridge out between Port Byron and Weedsport turning a 3 mile distance into a 12 mile detour. So, Skip, and anyone else approaching from the South... take Route 34 into Weedsport.

Damn too far for me to attend this weekend, since it's mothers day. I'm heading down to Potsdam this weekend though

You had better meet me at the diner in Weedsport. If I was driving out from Henrietta we could go together, but I have to go get John first.

I'll work out a final plan with John today. From whereever he lives I'm not sure what entrance we will use to get on to the thruway.
