Yeah but I'm guessing like most other warranties, this will be a
pro rated one as well. So because of their inferior product, it costs
me MORE money.

I remember laying out more than $50 for mine
The real hurt was the truck was like 13-months old

I always used to buy Sears DieHards and they were great, never once
had a problem with them until it was many many years old.
Guess I'll be going back to those, I for damn sure will never buy
another Duralast.

My S battery was a Panasonic
I always used to buy Sears, but this time I wanted a cheaper solution and went to Sam's, and got what they have, an Energizer, at least I know it is from a company that has some battery experience...

I went with the cheaper solution as well, the Duralast, which I believe
are less money that the DieHards but how much am I really saving, both
financially and in the hassle, if I have to bring it back after a year to
get it replaced?
You get what you pay for, I guess...lesson learned.

With batteries I'm sort of biased, I always used to buy very costly YUASA ones for the bike, I would treat them like gold, very careful to keep filled, always charging in the house int he winter, and no matter what they seemed to last like 2 - 3 years is all. Then I decided screw that, if they are only going to last that long I'm buying a battery from K-Mart and just replace that after 2 or 3 years. Well, those dame K-Mart and Walmart batteries have laste much longer than the silly YUASA batteries. I guess that's why I just went to Sam's for the CRX-Si, I'm not so convinced there are quality batteries out there, you just get some that last and some that don't. Pot luck.

Try an Interstate battery, Mark.
I personally love my Optima Yellowtop in the S. I think it's died maybe once in the 2 1/2 years or so that I've had it (and that's because the interior light was left on).
I'm trying to remember what brand battery I have in my truck - but I tell you what, it's a trooper of a battery as well. I drive the truck maybe once every 1-2 months during the summer, and every time it cranks with no problem.

The Optimas are crazy expensive and have been told they really aren't
worth what you pay for them, it's not like they last way longer than say
a Die Hard.
With respect to getting another Duralast...when I have a bad experience
with one brand and had nothing but good experiences with another, why
would I go back to the one that gave me a bad experience? I gave the
Duralast a shot because many people had said they were just as good
as the Die Hard's at a lower cost, otherwise I'd probably still be using
a Die Hard.
it's like going to a sub shop and getting a nasty sandwich, I'll never go back
to that sub shop no matter what. A guy I used to work with bit into a Lee
press on nail in a sub one time, I haven't gotten anything from that shop
since.

So much battery talk as of late I thought I would bring this back
HOWEVER, our so called upgrade f'ed up the poll, all the poll data is gone
Still might be an interesting read for some
I got 8-seasons out of my OEM battery
I removed it every winter, put it into the warm basement, and ran a trickle charger on it for about 3-days per month
