Bought a duralast gold battery for my winter beater last year.

If the car sits for more than 2 days, the battery would be dead.

Had my mechanic do a charging system test, battery has a bad cell.

Now I have to try and fight the warranty replacement issue with Auto Zone.

This is what happened to the HUGE battery in the Titan after about 1-year. The Tow Package that I ordered on the truck included a much larger battery, the thing was huge, and when it died, I was at Indy, we had jumper cables on it for more than 5-minutes before I could start the truck.

I think the CRX-Si will be in good shape though because I have

But I can jump start mine fine and once the car charges it back up, it's
good as long as I don't let it sit more than a couple days, which was
very likely during the warmer weather.

With the S going away in the next week or two, it won't be sitting at
all but I don't want to be stuck somewhere in the dead of winter with
a dead battery so off to Auto Zone I go at some point to fight the
warranty battle.

I'm disappointed, everything I read about the duralast gold batteries was positive
yet I didn't even get a year out of this one.

Honestly, I think almost everything is a crap shoot today
Quality control is not what it used to be
How many people have a dead Garmin unit after only a couple months, but I did
You are probably just one of the unlucky few

I bet as long as you have your paperwork it will be no big deal
I bet they see more of this than any of us would like to believe

Yeah but I'm guessing like most other warranties, this will be a
pro rated one as well. So because of their inferior product, it costs
me MORE money.
