Yeah Levi, that Duralast seems to be the choice unless you want to
spend $$$$ on the Optima, and even those I've heard aren't worth the money.

I figured the Duralast was good enough for me. I've had good luck with them in the past.

My OEM lasted 7 yrs and was never taken out of the car, nor did I put a battery tender on it in the winter.
Last spring replaced it with a duralast gold top.

That is interesting to know Levi. Is your garage heated though?

No heat in my garage Aashish, and as you know we get plenty of days when the temps hit minus 20 here.

After 6 years I swapped mine for a nearly new yellow top battery that another person had. He was going to trade his car in and was returning it to stock. I was concerned with the cranking speed. Mine seemed to be slowing down a bit. So the oppportunity to swap sounded good to me. I gave him $20 too. But then he didn't sell the car and he used my old battery for at least another year.

We're in your camp, Levi. Our '04 battery is still in use. Rick never bothers to remove it from the car either. Too much of a PIA.

We'll see if it turns over in the spring.

He's doing it wrong then. It takes one tool and less than a minute to remove.

I voted for 3 years...but keep in mind that the car was in Phoenix for 2 1/2 years before I moved to Upstate, and Phx is notoriously bad on batteries (the heat).

He does it just fine.

It's just something he has never bothered with. We got six seasons out of the battery already.....

^^^With some luck you'll get a 7th season out of the battery like I did.
