SOS hood dampers all the way! Best quality ones out there. Can put the hood almost straight up. Can also put it half up if wanted.
Worth the extra money!

I have TEIN dampers. They were about $140, but that was over 5 years ago. They open the same height as stock. As Ryan said, some open perpendicular to the car. That would be great for some, but the hood on the S is so long if I open my hood 90 degrees it hits the rail for my garage door. This is because I back my car in, but one of the main reasons I didn't get dampers that open the hood 90 degrees.
I can disconnect the dampers in 30 seconds via a quick release pin if I need the hood open more than it does.

I have the NRG hood dampers. They allow me to open the hood nearly to 90 degrees. No issues so far whatsoever. Plus, they cane in a nice carbon fiber finish that matches my intake.
