Honda Discussion Thread

Hondaaaaa!!!
Honda's Owned:
99 Prelude
07 TL-S
02 S2000
Some Honda powered lawnmower (it counts!)
Has been one of my favorite manufacturers for as long as I can recall. Everything from the NSX, Prelude, Integra, CRX, S2K, the Type R variants, I even really liked the Del Sol ( to each their own). Hell I even like the Honda Jet and the Asimo (in my mind, both come with VTEC). I'm a Yamaha fan when it comes to bikes, but that's a whole other discussion.
I think the problem with Honda currently is that they are too focused on fuel efficiency/ emissions and selling cars. They are a business after all and at the end of the day, selling cars is what keeps them going. That being said, I always believed that Honda's success came down to their passion for the products they developed (reference the vehicles I mentioned). I don't think Honda has the same passion that it once had. The Honda that built our S2K's is not the same Honda that is running today, in my opinion. Passion is not the driving force that it once was. Yes the NSX 2.0 is being developed and has the potential to be a really impressive machine. I've also heard rumor of a "baby nsx" and a faster street version of the CRZ. But even if all these rumors come true, I am very skeptical if they will bring about the same emotions and feelings as their predecessors did.
The S2000 is not the fastest car on the road. Its not the most powerful, and it surely isn't the most exotic. But I have never once stepped out of the S without a massive smile on my face and turning around to look at it. While that sounds very cliche, it is a rare trait in modern cars. Even my Prelude brought on this reaction. I suppose what I am trying to say in all of this is: I would love nothing more than for Honda to bring back cars that are built with passion and have a genuine character to them. Cars that make you smile. We can dream can't we?

Is the 2014 Civic wagon sold state side? I have been seeing the ads and was behind what I think was one in traffic yesterday. It had a large clear area in the back to see through like the CRX has.

I currently have a 95 Accord as my DD. Thinking of moving to a 2015+ FIT in the future- They are supposedly going to get 41MPG on the highway, and come with a much needed update to the interior. Not sure what to think of the exterior redesign yet, but I'll have to see it in person. Then again, my 95 Accord will probably last a long, long time... I', only at 160K- so there might never be the need for a FIT

My whole fleet is Honda/Acura
05 s2000
08 mdx (soon to be an 2011 mdx)
08 odyssey
09 pilot
I'm keeping the s2000 forever..as much as I love these new powerful cars, I can't fathom selling the S. And if I did ever sell it, it would be for a CR or NSX.

Yea I will try to get a pix, maybe a visit to the dealer to get one. A VEHO dealer is not far. Their site: http://www.veho.fi/fi/uudetautot/hon...ic-Tourer.aspx there is a 5dr and a tourer. You can see the price for each model below. Hinta = price Click the Honda to choose the model to view. There are English pages but no info on them. The 5dr is the one I saw on the street.
