Well there is a telephone pole amongst the trees where I will be planting them. There was a previous entanglement of thorny vines and briars surrounding this area which we ripped out this spring. I'm sure some of the growth will wander onto the phone pole too.

My soul is getting very relaxed over the realization that I have retired my S and myself from driving schools. It's projects like this that I'm so looking forward to doing.
That cant be true.

It was a big weekend on the Triple-H Plantation!
The tellis is done, on;ly after what felt like a million trips up the ladder
The top piece was not easy to get up there I might ad...
The ropes are held in with nothing more than a giant knot that won't pull through the small hole.
I ran out of daylight to get all of the plants in, but three are in
These guys look so cute, and healthy
And of course the Triple-H Plantation has a signature hop

And now for the big surprise...
I decided on Sunday I needed to do more, I needed to do something that would help me learn the true potential of these vines. I decided the trellis I made is not enough, the 16-foot 4x4's are about 2-feet in the ground so that means they are only 14-feet tall, not very impressive for a vine that might grow to 20-feet.
I'm all ready to plant my newest addition, a single 4x4 that will be used for just a single vine, the plantations's signature hop, Mt. Hood.
Yea baby, it's a full 20-feet out of the ground, with 3-feet in the ground. I pieced a 7-foot section onto the top of a 16-footer. The chair is there to put it all into scale.
And here is the same chair.
