Got My Car Into An Accident Over The Weekend
Well.........It happened to me.
I was visiting some close friends that live just north of Toronto in Woodbridge for the weekend. Everything was going great until Saturday night.
We went downtown to have a good time, and on the way back home later that night is when it happened. We were heading north (On a small road that I can't remember now) and for some reason I thought the road was splitting up into 2 lanes. There was a car in front of me, so I downshifted and went over to the lane in the left, and next thing I know, the road makes a sharp right turn and it wasn't 2 lanes. I tried to cut it to the right, but it was too much and my left front wheel slammed into the curve. I hit it so hard that the upper portion of the knuckle assembly just below the upper ball joint snapped off. I couldn't control it and the force from the curb pushed me to the other side of the street where I hit the other curb, breaking the lower portion of the knuckle assembly just above the lower ball joint.
No one got hurt.....Thank god! and I'm especially happy my cousin didn't get hurt. I do not know what I would have done if something happened to her. Especially considering this was a situation where I was just plain being careless.
Besides both front knuckle assemblies, the left front wheel is badly damaged and will need to be replaced. The rear left one has a small rash on it, and suprisingly, the right front wheel does not have a mark on it. A small part of the bumper got scratched up just in the front left corner, and the left fender has a little ripple in it from the tire pressing up against it from the tow truck.
I have pics if someone will host them for me.
The car is at my cousin's house right now, and I'm going up there this saturday with a auto car carrier from uhaul and my father's 1 ton chevy dually. Hopefully I won't find anything more wrong with the car.

Hey sorry to hear about this...I live about 5 minutes north of Woodbridge. If your car is still here and you need something checked, let me know and I will see if I can help. It may take a day or 2 for me to do it but I can try to help.
BTW, if your looking for some place to fix it locally, I HIGHLY recommend Speedstar - you can pm them to discuss. They are very familar with the S2000 and are a good bunch of guys to deal with.
Good luck!

Thanks a lot!! I really appreciate the offer, that's very kind of you.
My original plan was to have it fixed up there, but when i saw the damage the next morning, I noticed it's pretty much just the knuckle assembly. So I'd feel much better about bringing her home and fixing it here in my garage. Plus, if for whatever reason I have to bring the insurance company into this (which I hope I don't have to) then it would be a lot easier if I was in the states. She'll be coming home this weekend.
Thanks again though.

Wow, sorry to hear.
Matrix, nice offer buddy!
Slim, if you need any help or parts I strongly suggest Ontario Honda out in Canandaigua. Yes I know there are other dealers closer, but there is a reason a lot of us go to Ontario! Contact Terry Sullivan (service) or Roger (parts) 396-7770 and they will help you out, be sure to let them know you are a referal from Douglas Hood.
Good luck, keep us posted, and I'm happy to hear you and your cousin are fine.

I put in a reservation for a Uhaul car trailer on Tuesday, and NOW they're telling me they can't do it. On Tuesday they told me it won't be a problem, and we'll reserve one for you.......and the day before I leave, they tell me their isn't one in Western NY!
Does anyone by any chance have a car trailer that I can rent? I really want to get my car home this weekend so I'll pay you whatever you want to make you comfortable.
If so, please let me know ASAP!
Thanks
