I might get the itch for a PhD one of these days (apparently I get one free class a semester here), but after the hell that was my MBA program, I'm done with school and classes for a while

Thats the perks of working for an educational institution

My sister got her MBA from Georgetown when she was working there at a highly subsidized fee. I'd really wanna do my research around the auto business. That would be a topic that would interest me and I could defend my thesis very well in the end

I got my MBA from UB. New York State subsidized my education

It was a two-year full-time program. The upside was that I did not have any thesis to write, and we had to pick a concentration for our degree. Since I was a glutton for punishment, I did dual concentrations: Management Information Systems and Information Assurance (basically IT security).

Sarah is starting her Master's program in the fall. Hers is a one-year program (MS in Comp Sci), and she either has to perform directed research or write a thesis. She is electing for the research.

This is all very interesting, but how is Gilly going to get a job if you hijack this thread? It's 8:39. Where's Gilly anyway? Sleeping in?

Thats neat Marc. One of the reasons I'm relatively debt-free is because I had research assitantships funding my education. That is truly one of the greatest aspects of the American education system

Sorry Jeff Old habits die hard and we are all thread hijackers here.

Gilly & Dave seemed to be up very last last night. I called it a day around 10:15 PM and they could have gone on until midnight considering how many pages were created Poor kid is probably sleeping in

Why in the world has Gilly not commented in this thread? Besides he has been exceptionally silent today. Was last night's post frenzy a result of way too much Red Bull consumed in way too litle time

Gilly - get your stuff on here man. Help us help you like Jeff says
