When I went to meet my wife's parents and friends, I was driving a '65 triple black Austin Healey 3000. Her parents were bemused that she could be interested in such a person. Her best friend's father, however, was strong is his opinion. He told her that no person driving a British sports cars was worth marrying since such ownership demonstrated a lack of judgment and mental acuity.

I still have the girl and wish I still had the car.

I'd say you demonstrated sound judgement in sticking with your wife and getting rid of the car, although I too wish you had kept it

Those old roadsters had a lot of spirit

Good to hear from you. Don't kill yourself. Nothing is really going to happen this week that doesn't happen by noon tomorrow. Other than a girl, how is it that you now find yourself in Chicago?

UPDATE!

good thing i didn't get a chance to do my resume yet. i just got word that i passed my 8 hour long engineer in training test.

This will be a very nice addition to my resume. it is the certificate precursor to the Professional Engineer Licensing.
