What the helll are you talking about, I have never gone over 700-mph on public roads like you have...
Now Im going to be mobbed by the media for setting the land speed record on I-87 in a stock S2000.

Just bought a hardwire power cable so I can wire my Garmin to the motorcycle.
Garmin Hardwire cord
I've got my Ram mount just about configured. Now I have to look in to hooking up a headphone jack. Found a video the other day that shows how to disassemble the 255w for battery replacement. By studying the video, I have some ideas on how to make the headphone jack connections.

Nope, I just think for me it is too distracting, and distracting + mcy = danger

I'm curious to see how distracting it may be. I may mute it, or remove it entirely, we'll see.
Mute mode won't do much, because it does not talk all that much, only when you have to make a turn and then you are concentrating on everything to find and make the turn. The audio is totally not distracting, that is not the part that sucks me in at all, audio will be the least of your problems.
The visual data is what gets to me. Holy crap, there is a lake over there, can I see it? Wow, look at that, there has to be a park over there, what's it look like? Cool, look how this river is crossing under the road, and then going towards that hill, there has to be an awesome waterfall around here. Let's see, do I want to zoom out a bit more to see what's farther away from me? Hmmm, is my speedometer perfect, let's compare. How many miles was it before I have to make that next turn, better look at what the intersection is going to look like. I wonder what that road off to the left is like, it seems more twisty than the one I'm on.
^ I could go on and on and on, that is way too much for me to handle, too distracting, I need to be more focused and looking at the pavement I'm about to drive over and to make sure I don't have some f'ing clueless caged driver not seeing me. For me I will use the GPS when the bike is stopped, and for me, the primary use will be the Where Am I? function. My rides typically only have the most general of a destination so particular roads don't matter, or, I'm riding to someplace I already know and don't need a map or a GPS.
You need to hook that thing up in you car and start using it. Program in the address of where you are going, work, home, errands, start getting used to it. For me, it's like a drug, I just want more data, give me more data, I'm the kind of guy who loves to just read maps, so this thing is very addictive, and distracting.
