I have a window mount - it worked great about a year, now the ball and socket seem to have loosened up... and it stays in place about a minute then gravity causes problems. I can not figure out how to fix, wonder if I need to look for a new mount. Not happy to have it last such a short time.

Ellen, one thing you can try that I did on the mount for my Sirius satellite radio that
had a similar problem...
Position the mount exactly where you want it and put a few drops of krazy glue around
where the ball and socket meet and that will keep it from moving.
Works well for me and since I don't move that mount out of the S, it can be set in
that permanent position.

Some guy posted this in VFRD
Had not really run her for a few years. Took off for the Mexican border to have lunch and really run the old girl for a while. Boring, boring straight roads but little traffic-broke something in my mouth,I was so upset that I pointed her another 125 miles back home to the north. How can Honda build the VFR and have it run like new ten years later? The next day,VFR's like the beach. We like pirates down here.
Most of the replies were along the lines of what, translate please, can we get that again in English, and well, you get the idea... Then, someone posted this as a reply
I hadn't flown in a while but with the cord showing on my rear I figured "why not"...headed straight south out of Detroit, right into Canada to grab lunch at a little "sports bar" I used to frequent. Taxied out to runway 7L, boring....nothing but light commuter traffic. Just after we were airborne I put the wheels up and glanced out the window. Saw a Leprechaun hanging on the wing, broke something in my heart. Told my passenger to hang on, I spotted a Koi pond below and did my best Cap'n Sullenberger. We saved the lil guy and while waiting for a tow out of the mud wondered, "How can a Leprechaun not have a freakin box of Lucky Charms." Girls who work at sports bars like Lucky Charms. Maybe next time ladies. I can't get the pix to post either.
