Do you have a local resident tag for the tournament week? I know when they have had tournaments in Princeton, no traffic, except official tournament traffic and VIPS were allowed to drive near the course. Residents of the surrounding streets were given hangtags for their mirrors that let them get past the police roadblocks and to their houses.

 

OK, Michael- Here's the PA alternative that you were asking about:
*From north Jersey, take I-80 west to Exit 25
*Pick up Rte 206 here and follow thru Sussex County all the way to cross the Delaware R into Milford PA. There is a neat Inn right at the center of town for late breakfast/ early lunch.
*Proceed west on Rte. 6, which is the nicest 2 lane through road in the northern half of Pa Except for a 10 mile stretch at the edge of Scranton, almost all of the ~130 miles is fairly open rolling hills and valleys... following the Susquehanna R for most of the way. "Scenic" understates this route!
*Continue on Rte. 6 to Towanda, PA; pick up Rte. 220 north and continue to it's end at Rte. 17 in NY
*Go west on Rte. 17 to Corning... and follow Diskoe's suggestion from there (see above).

I most of this route in June and can predict the broad grin on your face
Assuming you are driving the S, the backroads are the only way to go

 

No residential tags.....not quite that close. But my grandmother is a member at Oak Hill and I may have clubhouse passes for one or more of the days, so any days that I am able to get those I will give my regular ticket to anyone who needs it.
