Here is a blast form the past (opps old AM radio DJ talk). Going to change out the brake and clutch fluid this weekend. I think I will use the Valvoline fluid my frugal friend Cone uses at least for this year. Maybe next year I will go with stainless hoses and a designer brake fluid. I will also do the Fit's .

As a maintenance manager at my work I know the value of fluid changes. I am ashamed to say I have yet to change the brake and clutch fluid since I got the car in 2010. I have no idea if it
was changed before with the low miles the car had. As a maintenance manager I also know "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I think I will use the gravity method even though I have a vacuum system to pull the fluid out. I have been to slow or absent minded going from under the car to add more fluid to the reservoir. Needless to say, you don't save any time doing that having to get a ton of air out of the system.

Harry - Motul RBF 600 as well as the other fluids can be ordered from Amazon. Saves you a trip to the parts store.

I would never get it by Saturday.

By chance, does anyone know of a Rochester parts store that has Motul or Ete blue?

A trip to the parts store is like is usually good for an extra $50 bucks worth of stuff I didn't know I needed.

ATE Super Blue Brake Fluid is banned by the US Government. Sales to stop. Get yours while you can if using that product.

I love going from Typ200 to blue so I can easily see when the lines are flushed. I flush so often that the fluid never gets dirty enough. I have blue in now, and in order to help me going forward I am going to measure how many ML comes out of each line before it's gold again. This way I can be sure that I've given a good flush during my changes.

+1 I will miss it when it is gone. I guess I am going to have to stock up if I am not too late!
