Hey everyone! I just picked up another S and am looking for any previous owners that might have some history on it?

It is a 2002 suzuka vin ending 002572. Windows are tinted, it currently has 89k miles.

10/10 vins however it has been resprayed and has a fair amount of overspray. This has me curious if there was any accidents or the reasoning for the paint.

Carfax shows the car starting out in NM and staying between there and texas until around 2011 where it went then to Arkansas and then to Florida where it was for sale around 2019/2020 and then to NY, now PA.

I owned this car back in November. Bought it, put a new blue top on it and sold it to a dealer I know a week later. It had a mugen intake on it, and that’s why there is a hole on the underside of the hood, I put a stock intake back on it. It had silver rims at that time, the dark rims look good. Bought it from a guy I know in Syracuse who purchased it from florida, I believe the clutch was also recently replaced. Had a little ding/dent in the driver side fender above the wheel, perhaps that’s why it was painted? It also had a horrid aftermarket audio system in it that didn’t work I ripped out and replaced.

I just replaced the intake retainers (4/8 were cracked) so thats a sigh of relief.

I noticed it has ARP head studs. Was that something you did? Also looks like some of the paint is burnt/missing clear a bit in your photo, maybe thats a reason for the respray.

the top color is beautiful and I thank you for putting a new one on!

any other info and if you can confirm the clutch, please let me know.

I didn’t have it long, basically just picked it up, put a new top on it, stock intake, fixed the audio and it was gone. Never even put it on the lift. I don’t recall any clear coat missing, just a little damage above the driver front wheel, maybe just a dirty car and my shop lighting you’re seeing in the pics.

did you buy it from a dealer or private party? I sold it to a dealer friend of mine who then sold it to another dealer friend of his.

I got it from a local used dealer (jack’s motors) in Pittsburgh,PA area.

I saw it was for sale at Kellys auto in Ohio before that.

what was the milage when you had it, if you remember?

I cant imagine its had many miles/owners in between so the paints gotta be pretty recent.
