What did you guys think of the race? Somewhat processional with some excitement towards the end. Thought some of the pit stop penalties were harsh.

Wonder how much of a chewing out Massa will get for not following team orders to let Bottas pass him late in the race. Not doing so probably cost Williams a couple of points.

Malaysia was a snoozefest. Cars look and sound awful.

I'll go back to watching GT3 and ALMS on Youtube.

I think they need to get rid of some of the tracks (especially the ones by Tilke). Malaysia is only fun when it pours.

Been watching F1 on and off since my first visit to the Glen in '72.

Back then it was a blood sport and the cars were produced in sophisticated garages. Passion and talent overcame common sense for the drivers.

Today, the teams are small aerospace companies and the steering wheel has got 30 buttons for the driver to use. Pilots survive incredible accidents.

Imho, it's getting way too complicated and politically correct.

But I'll still watch

Here is an interesting page on Brembo's braking calculations for Bahrain. Quite a lot of detail here. 5G's braking force!
Oops the link didn't take, copy and paste sorry

I imagine (if I managed to fit into an F1 car) I would not last even a full lap before I got the wind knocked out of my lungs.
