Hey Aash, did ya like the 3 to 1?
What 3 to 1

I dont think thats humanly possible

I forgot to mention. It was great meeting John & Lisa. Thanks for stopping by guys

and to give credit where its due, Doug gave me an awesome demonstration of heel-toeing and the 3 to 1 shifting. I'll just say that it was akin to being strapped into a roller coaster and more fun than that in the S

Hopefully my skillz have improved from the session we had on saturday. I need to work on smoother upshifts and hope to get as smooth as Doug. With him it seemed like the car had DCT as the upshifts and downshifts were that smooth. He is all silk and smooth like Jenson Button is

Yeah, I was EXHAUSTED Friday. I had been at work from 5am till about 4pm. I was so tired I figured making the drive out to Rochester would not be a smart idea. I would have been a liability on the road.

Anyway, glad you guys had fun!

Marc I'm happy you just stayed home. I slept a lot on Sunday and caught up with rest as last week was hectic at work with too little sleep. Added to that was all the great beer and the driving fun on Saturday. Look forward to seeing you at some point in the future

Let's see, he rode on the CRX-Si, I drove and he drove his Si, he drove and I drove the Frontier, and then I drove my S. What a blast!
I rode on the CRX-Si. Would I still be breathing if I rode on that awesome car

The Frontier was nice and I loved the manual transmission in it even though it had somewhat longer throws than what I'm used to I was amazed on our way back when you drove the truck and did all that crazy heel-toeing.

Like I said before the S was a blast to ride in and I how your exhaust sounds compared to the stock exhaust.

oh! and thanks for the trailing throttle demo as well on both the CRX-Si and my Si.

I'm glad to see you had fun this past weekend Aashish. Didn't I say Doug will teach HT to you very well? My wedding shoot on Saturday went great. My arms were sore like you won't believe. It's like I've been lifting weights the whole day.

The right hander that was all uphill, the one where the backend just powered out.
I just love the powerful blasts out of the corner with a downshift into 1st.

And your arms were sore even though you have that beautiful photo assistant?

Yeah because I'm the one who had to constantly hold the brick-like camera. It's pretty heavy just using it on and off. But imagine holding on to it for hours on end and shooting with it. Lisa helps me with misc. type of stuff, like setup lights, adjust lights, get this lens for me, get that for me, etc.

Oh and about the 3-1 downshifts, Aashish, only Doug is aggressive enough to do such moves.

I remember a long time ago, Doug would go from 2 to 1 while the car is still at 20 or 25 MPH. I always thought that was way too fast to be downshifting into 1, as the car (AP1's anyway) redlines at 30MPH in 1st gear. But he manages to get it into 1 for that extra punch. Where as I would have just kept it in 2nd.

I know what you were talking about but I just decided to feign ignorance
